Clean Calories

I know there is plenty of scientific reasoning for the question I’m about to ask but I’m still going to take this moment to whine…I mean ask. Why are carbs so much easier to overly consume than protein? Waaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!

Yes, I know a quick Google search will give me a real answer but just let me wallow in my dramatics, would ya?! I’m fresh off my elimination diet (which I wrote a whole post about but didn’t post, SMH) and now I’m working with my Coach on tracking macros. I don’t mind the tracking part of it at all. My problem is the clean calories aka clean eating. I know I know…it’s necessary but man it sucks. Trying to eat 100 grams of proper protein is such a task. Thats like a pound of grilled chicken but 3 Snickers will get you to a 100 grams of carbs, no problem. The attitude I have today about it is real!

But in all seriousness, I’m going to stop complaining…at some point…maybe…maybe not. The truth is eating healthy will get you to your goals. The harder truth is results may vary and may take longer for you to lose weight than homegirl on TikTok but you have to stick to it! I have to stick to it! In the prophetic words of the thee great Kendrick Lamar, “WE GONE BE ALRIGHT!’.

The journey to weight loss is always gone be grilled chicken over deep fried double crusted chicken. It’s going to always be veggies or fruits over cakes and cookies so I’m going to stick with the program! I just might complain about it from time to time. And now y’all get to see some of the ignant mess I cry to my Coach about on days like this. We got this, y’all!

P.S. I actually do know the answer to my own question but sometimes you just gotta vent. Moral of the story…stick with the plan and trust the process. And if that plan involves lots of grilled chicken, broccoli and an occasional vent session then let it out!
