The Best Advice

Let me tell y’all why I am loving journaling and blogging these days. I find myself giving the best advice to people I think could benefit from what I’m saying as well as friends, family, co-workers, you get the point. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve given advice and amazed myself with what I tell others. When that happens, I always instantly say to myself “I should start taking my own advice.”
If you’re like me and have a goal in mind, chances are you have done the research, watched tutorials, read the books, whatever “the thing” is, you know enough to get started but don’t. Another scenario, you’re presented with a situation where the answer seems like a “no-brainer” and you can rattle off all the reasons why to someone else but for yourself, it doesn’t seem quite as simple? Has that ever happened to you?
Through blogging which I pretty much consider journaling, I have been able to get out of my mind in a way that helps me come on with the advice I would give others or think outside the box to come to conclusions I may not have otherwise. There are tons of videos on YouTube that I’m sure will better explain the benefits and mechanics behind journaling that you may want to check out if you want the scientific-y stuff. I can just explain it as it does something for me. I don’t know if it’s seeing the words/thoughts on paper or on screen that make them more real and worthy for my own consideration or what but it has been an amazing eye opener.
Moral of the story: try journaling and take some of your own advice. It quite possibly is the best advice because who knows you better than you?
